Many times creeks and rivers that flow into the lake will bring a sediment load that is then deposited into the cove. Over several years, the sediment can greatly reduce the depth of the cove, thus reducing boat accessibility. With proper permitting and approval we can remove this unwanted sediment to maintain access to your dock. All dredges will comply with the regulations set by Duke Energy and the Department of Health and Environmental Control. Mitigation for the projects may or may not be required, however we encourage some level of voluntary plant and habitat mitigation.

We will assist you with the permitting process by filling out the permit application, providing a land plat, and providing a stabilization design. Then, we will give you instructions on sending in the application and obtaining the approval letter and site permit.
